Stamford is pleased to provide Sparkler, a FREE developmental screening application, available in English and Spanish, that promotes healthy early childhood development and helps you advocate for your child. With the help of Sparkler, parents and families have access to the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (a developmental screening), developmentally aligned play activities, parent forums, and early childhood coaches.

We are currently working to ensure that all families with children aged 0-5 have access to Sparkler to ensure that all our children are developmentally ready for Kindergarten. Through our partnership with Stamford Public Schools we are using this tool to connect parent’s knowledge about their rising Kindergarten student with their Kindergarten teacher. Utilizing Sparkler’s screening tool, Kindergarten teachers will now have access to their incoming students’ most recently completed ASQs, allowing them to prepare accordingly for their incoming students.
