Grant Writer, Collective Impact (Summer 2024)

OVERVIEW
The Grant Writer for Collective Impact position is a full-time (37.5 hours/week) position reporting to the Senior Vice President for Collective Impact that will play an integral role in the success of the three collective impact organizations supported by the United Way of Coastal and Western Connecticut. Our collective impact organizations work to ensure that all Stamford, Bridgeport, and Danbury children succeed in school, career, and life. Our partnerships include hundreds of active members who align resources to improve the lives of Connecticut children and their families measurably. We are dedicated to eliminating racial inequality in education and creating opportunities for children and youth to succeed. All staff must possess an ability to work with multicultural communities.

The Grant Writer will identify, define, and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities as well as lead the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals to federal, state, local, and private funding agencies on behalf of the three Collective Impact initiatives within United Way of Coastal and Western Connecticut. The Grant Writer will coordinate a grant portfolio across these three Collective Impact initiatives and United Way, working closely with United Way’s existing Grant Writer. Primary responsibilities include researching funding opportunities, preparation of proposals, grant applications, and grant reports.

United Way of Coastal and Western Connecticut serves 27 towns, including the Cities of Bridgeport, Danbury, Norwalk, and Stamford, and the Towns of Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Darien, Easton, Fairfield, Kent, Monroe, New Canaan, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield, Roxbury, Sherman, Stratford, Trumbull, Warren, Washington, Westport, Wilton, and Weston. The three Collective Impact organizations work within three of these communities and are called Bridgeport Prospers, Danbury Collective, and Stamford Cradle to Career.

College and Career Readiness Manager, Stamford Cradle to Career (Summer 2024)

OVERVIEW
The College and Career Readiness Manager (CCR) will play an integral role on the Stamford Cradle to Career (SC2C) backbone team reporting to the Senior Director of Operations. SC2C (www.stamfordcradletocareer.org) is a collective impact organization with the mission to collectively align community resources to ensure equity and excellence in education, for every child, from cradle to career. Our goal is that all students in Stamford, CT, have the access and support they need to graduate high school and be prepared for college and career. SC2C works closely with Stamford Public Schools and community organizations to coordinate efforts. SC2C is dedicated to eliminating racial inequality in education and creating opportunities for children and youth to succeed. United Way of Coastal and Western CT serves as the administrative backbone for SC2C. All staff must possess an ability to work with multicultural communities.

Senior Director of Operations, Stamford Cradle to Career (Spring 2024)

OVERVIEW
Under the supervision of the President of Stamford Cradle to Career, the Senior Director of Operations for Stamford Cradle to Career (SC2C) will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations activities in the organization, ensuring the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization. This includes the management of SC2C’s Community Action Networks (CANs) and community engagement work. The position requires finding, cultivating, and maintaining strong relationships with partners from nonprofits, community organizations, Stamford Public Schools, the City of Stamford, local businesses, youth, and families; convening those partners regularly for alignment and planning; and facilitating the development and implementation of action plans to improve educational access for children and families in Stamford. The Senior Director will work closely with the Director of Data, Evaluation, and Learning to plan and execute data strategies for measuring the impact and continuous feedback processes for all CAN initiatives. The Senior Director will also work closely with and support the President with the management of the SC2C Team, overall strategy development, fundraising, communications, and data.
