Investing in Stamford Cradle to Career (SC2C) reflects a commitment to racial equity and economic mobility. SC2C spotlights disparities and works in concert with community stakeholders to address gaps in resources. The work is long-term and requires commitment from all partners, including investors. Data drives how we approach issues, invest our time and measure results.

SC2C is fortunate to have long-term committed investors who see the promise of the collective impact model, especially in a city as diverse and rich in resources and talent as Stamford. Since our inception in 2015, more investors have joined their peers in supporting SC2C, so that today we have a group of funders who represent a mix of corporate, private foundation, and public institutional support. This perfectly reflects our cross-sector collaborative approach to investing in the community.

Much of the work of Stamford Cradle to Career happens as a result of our backbone team, which coordinates collaboration among community partners, provides data infrastructure support, and manages programs. That’s why investment in the backbone team is critical. Funders are also key partners in driving the work of our signature initiatives.
