There will be organizations from around the city attending so you can speak to them directly and learn about various ways to get support or get involved. There will also be chances for you to give feedback on what issues are impacting youth in Stamford and what more could be done to support these issues.

SC2C Parents & Caregivers -Family Connections: Succeeding in School, Career, & Life

Tuesday, March 21, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm 

  • Learn from other caregivers
  • Learn about community resources
  • Childcare & Food
  • Interpretation provided

 

Hear from families in Stamford about how they navigated different challenges using existing resources within our city. Families will share stories about accessing special education services, navigating systems as a new arrival to Stamford, and other issues impacting our community. Staff from local organizations will be on hand to talk to participants, answer questions, and provide more information about their work. Dinner, interpretation, and childcare will be provided.

**please note that all children are welcome but childcare will only be provided for a limited number of children and they must be potty trained. Younger children are welcome but would need to remain with their caregiver throughout the evening. **

SC2C Community Partners Convening

Tuesday, April 11, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

  • How can we continue to work for youth & families of Stamford
  • Collaborate and network with other community partners
  • Content driven by Stamford students & families
  • Food and refreshments will be served

 

This event will feature updates from each of Stamford Cradle to Career’s (SC2C) network groups, emphasizing the links in our work from one stage of childhood to the next. There will be opportunities to network with others committed to creating change in Stamford, and breakout groups will allow participants to dive deeper on areas of need driven by feedback from our youth and families.
