CT Students for a Dream: Are you an Undocumented Student living in Connecticut or an Educator Supporting Undocumented Students? In 2018, dope and powerful leaders at CT Students for a Dream fought together with educators and community groups to pass a law that opened up access to institutional financial aid for undocumented students at Connecticut’s State Colleges and Universities!

 

Heart and Purpose Scholarship Program: Their goal is to promote education as a vessel for transforming the minds and circumstances of the youth. They hope to empower these students with opportunities towards a purposeful tomorrow by providing scholarships worldwide, starting with students in Haiti and Connecticut.

 

Laurel House Social Work Racial Equity Scholarship Awards: Their goals are to cultivate more Black and Hispanic social workers who are committed to social change and to increase access to mental health care treatment in communities of color. A one-time $10,000 award will be made to a selected applicant for the 2023/2024 school year.

Awarded scholarship funds are intended for tuition, books, related fees, and expenses and are paid directly to the school in which the applicant is enrolled.

 

Live Girl: Shine On aims to identify extraordinary and historically underrepresented young women leaders. Shine On is committed to elevating and empowering these women with an annual scholarship to create a more equitable future.

 

Parent Teacher Council of Stamford: Maureen Tobin Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship honors Maureen Tobin, a Stamford parent volunteer who was active in her children’s school PTOs and PTC before she passed away. It is awarded yearly to a high achieving Stamford Public School High School senior, or seniors, who plan(s) on attending college. The Scholarship fund consists of contributions made by the member PTOs.

 

SPEF Scholarships: Breaking Barriers and Creating Opportunities for Students. Since 2006, SPEF has helped to implement scholarship programs to support the post-secondary dreams of Stamford Public Schools graduates. Since that time we have distributed over $150,000!

 

Stamford Dollars for Scholars: is again pleased to offer scholarships as a result of the generosity of individual scholarship sponsors and the support of their organization, donors and volunteers. Students completing the 2023 online application have the opportunity to apply for any Stamford Dollars for Scholars scholarships for which they meet the criteria. Additionally, as Stamford Dollars for Scholars is an affiliate of Scholarship America, applicants automatically gain access to Scholarship America’s valuable resources and can search other relevant scholarships opportunities.

 

Stamford Rotary Trust Fund: To be eligible for the Stamford Rotary Scholarship, you must be a graduating high school senior residing in Stamford, CT, and demonstrate a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for people in your school, community and/or the world at large.

 

The Stamford Partnership: The Stamford Promise: Helping Stamford students and their families achieve the dream of college access and success. The Stamford promise is a merit-based, guaranteed scholarship that provides $5,000 per year for college.
