Celebrating Mental Health Month: Resources for Families

May is Mental Health Month, and at Stamford Cradle to Career, we’re committed to fostering a supportive community where mental well-being is prioritized.

Youth Mental Health First Aid Training

We’re excited to offer a free Youth Mental Health First Aid Training session on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Park 215 (215 Stillwater Avenue, Stamford).

This comprehensive training will empower you with the knowledge and skills to support youth experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. You’ll learn how to:

  • Identify potential mental health concerns
  • Address problems through a practical action plan
  • Teach effective coping strategies
  • Offer appropriate support when it’s needed most

Don’t miss this opportunity to make a real difference in our community! Register today by emailing youthfirstaid@stamfordhealthalliance.org.

Creating a Supportive Environment

“Mental Health Month is a perfect opportunity to raise awareness, support each other, and engage in activities that promote mental health. Let’s work together to create a supportive and understanding community.”

– Edith Presley, President of Stamford Cradle to Career

We encourage all families to take time this month to focus on mental well-being through open conversations, healthy activities, and utilizing the many resources available through our partner organizations.

Together, we can build a stronger, healthier Stamford for everyone.
