MLK 2024 Events
- Celebrate Dr. King by creating a scroll depicting his six principles of nonviolence.
- Location: South End Branch
- Age Group: All ages
Service projects will include:
- writing letters to military troops
- collecting and shipping items to the troops (via Operation Gratitude)
- making Valentine’s Day cards for the seniors
- designing and distributing thank you cards for first responders
- making Kindness Messages and Rocks
- creating Stop Climate Change posters
- collecting non-perishable foods for a local Food Drive

Martin Luther King Jr. Day Screening: Selma
Monday, January 15 2024. From 1:00pm to 3:00pm
- Commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a screening of Selma, the 2014 award-winning biopic that chronicles Dr. King’s campaign to secure equal voting rights through an epic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, in 1965.

Book Bunch Club is back! We will read and discuss Happy Birthday, Martin Luther King by Jean Marzollo and do an activity based on the book.
Snacks will be served.
